Between Nature and Artifice: The Excellence of Tuscan Craftsmanship on Display at Artigianato e Palazzo
September 11–13, 2026 | Garden of Palazzo Corsini, Florence
For the sixth consecutive year, Artex renews its collaboration with Artigianato e Palazzo by presenting a new exhibition by the Galleria dell’Artigianato at the Spazio Focus in the Garden of Palazzo Corsini, from September 11 to 13, 2026.
For this edition, the exhibition “Between Nature and Artifice” explores the dialogue between nature and creativity—between matter in its original form and humanity’s ability to transform it through knowledge, technique, and imagination.
The project highlights the work of the artisan—the artifex —who interprets natural materials and forms and transforms them into works of art. It is a creative process in which the material does not lose its connection to nature but is reinterpreted, giving rise to new forms, expressions, and meanings.
22 Exemplars of Tuscan Artistic Craftsmanship
The exhibition brings together a selection of 22 Tuscan companies and master artisans, chosen to represent the variety and high quality of the region’s artistic production.
Ceramics, glass, mosaics, jewelry, textiles, and other craft forms come together in an exhibition design that fosters a dialogue between different materials, techniques, and artistic languages. Unique pieces and small series thus showcase a heritage of manual and creative skills that successfully blend tradition and contemporary expression.
Jean Blanchaert serves as the curatorial director, while Studio Lavanguardia is responsible for the exhibition design.

Galleria dell’Artigianato
Galleria dell’Artigianato is a project dedicated to showcasing the excellence of Tuscan artistic craftsmanship. Through exhibitions and promotional initiatives, the project brings to the public’s attention a selection of artisans and businesses characterized by high quality, innovation, originality, and a strong connection to the local area.
The spotlight is on artisans and businesses that create one-of-a-kind pieces and very small, often numbered, production runs intended for a audience of collectors, galleries, museums, specialty shops, and enthusiasts of fine craftsmanship.
The initiative is organized as part of the Officina Creativa Lab project, carried out by Artex with the support of the Region of Tuscany and the City of Florence.
