The workshop Ginevra Gemmi Gioielli, on Via della Chiesa 29r in Florence, opens the doors of its workshop, offering visitors the chance to enter the artisan’s work space and watch a demonstration of the workmanship.

Sapaf Atelier Luxury Handbags, at Via del Padule 76 in Scandicci, offers a tour of the company during which it will be possible to admire up close the workings of a real Italian high-fashion leather goods. At the end of the experience, visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the brand’s boutique, located just a five-minute drive away. Stefano Bemer‘s workshop, at Via di San Niccolò 2 in Florence, will be open with free admission to allow visitors to discover the workshop’s work environment and craftsmanship tradition up close.

At Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School, at Piazza Piattellina 3r in Florence, it will be possible to visit freely. In addition, the week of March 23-27 will see the OPEN WEEK, during which students, enthusiasts and the curious will be able to enter the school while it is in full swing. It will also be possible to meet the tutors of the graduate programs for those interested in enrolling in academic courses.

In Silvia Logi‘s workshop at 20 Via Giano della Bella in Florence (Lab 16, ground floor), the workshop will be open for a demonstration of the creation of a creative mosaic magnet depicting a Florentine facade, including the Dome of the Duomo, Santa Croce, Santo Spirito or Santa Maria Novella. The Habitat workshop, at 10 Via del Filarete in Florence, will be open with free admission to visit the workshop and watch Virginia at work as she makes her handcrafted terrariums, which she has been producing in Florence since 2020. Terrariums are small plant ecosystems in which plants, moss, water and nutrients create a natural balance that is maintained over time. The Fatacadabra workshop, Via Santa Monaca 11r in Florence, will be open with a free-entry demonstration of photographic printing using the cyanotype technique. Cyanotype is an ancient contact photographic printing technique invented in the mid-19th century and is one of the earliest processes used to obtain images through the action of light on a surface emulsified with a UV- or sunlight-sensitive solution. Ragazzini’s Cornici Cornici workshop, Via Il Prato 26r in Florence, will be open from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for a workshop tour dedicated to discovering the art of gold leafing, with a hands-on demonstration recounting the craftsmanship tradition of this process. At Vannini Gioielli‘s workshop, Via Locatelli 8/r in Florence, there will be a demonstration of the Florentine goldsmith style “Traforo.” Two demonstrations are scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, March 27: the first from 5 to 6 p.m. and the second from 6 to 7 p.m., each for a maximum group of 5 people. Argentiere Pagliai, at Borgo San Jacopo 41r in Florence, will open its historic workshop for a tour of the workshop lasting about 45 minutes for a maximum of 6 people. The workshop, founded about a century ago by Orlando Pagliai and now in its third generation, is a historic artisan workshop located in the heart of medieval Florence and is recognized as a prestigious Florentine Historical Establishment. In addition to the production of classical silverware, it makes contemporary creations, restorations, engravings and personalized objects. Among the highlights of “Pagliai Firenze” production is the collection of art silverware that interprets the tradition of Florentine silversmiths through techniques such as chiseling, embossing, engraving and fretwork. During the meeting, the brand will be introduced and the lost-wax casting technique will be explained, focusing on the reasons for choosing this method of working. The tour will continue with photographic examples and real objects showing the various stages of the creative process, from wax model to finished jewelry. NAA Studio, at Via de’ Serragli 59/A r in Florence, opens its workshop with two visits to the showroom and workshop lasting about 20 minutes each. Visitors will be able to take a journey into the Florentine goldsmithing tradition through the work of NAA Studio, with a brief introduction to traditional techniques still used today and a chance to look closely at jewelry from the collections. At the Eva Mun atelier, Via San Niccolò 35 in Florence, the “Shape Your Pottery” workshop will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will be able to model and decorate clay guided step by step by art teacher Eva, while also learning the basics of traditional majolica technique.
