Il Galeone was born in 1998 in the basement of Giovanna Giudici, a 20-year-old graduate of the Siena art institute who, after four years of apprenticeship at the workshop of master Passerini, set up her goldsmithing and illustration workshop. In 2001, her collaboration with Federico Biagi, her partner also in life, was born, and together they participated in exhibitions in Italy and Europe, receiving awards such as the O.M.A. prize. Their activity continues in the two workshops in Siena and Florence.
