LAO – Le Arti Orafe

Founded in 1985 by Giò Carbone, LAO-Le Arti Orafe was the first Italian school dedicated to contemporary goldsmith research that from the beginning encouraged and promoted a learning process that emphasizes technical and professional skills, combined with artistic research and contemporary design. Since 2005 it has produced Preziosa-Florence Jewellery Week, an international event that brings together artists, curators and jewelry lovers with exhibitions, lectures and meetings on jewelry-related topics.
