🎬 New call for SENTIERO FILM LAB: the workshop that supports new talents in the development of short films, from script to production

Applications are now open for the 4th edition of Sentiero Film Lab, the workshop dedicated to the development of short films, designed for directors and – as of this year – also for young up-and-coming producers. There is time until July 16, 2025 to apply!

The Lab, promoted by the Florentine festivalSentiero Film Factory, was officially presented on May 15 at the Italian Pavilion of the Cannes Film Festival and is enriched this year with important new features.

📍 When and where?
The residency will be held Sept. 15-21, 2025 in the spaces of Officina Creativa Lab by Artex at Conventino Fuori le Mura (Via Giano della Bella 20, Florence), in conjunction with Sentiero Film Factory (Sept. 12-20), the international festival that brings the best of contemporary cinema to the heart of Florence.

✨ Novelty 2025
For the first time, the workshop also opens to teams composed of author and producer, with the aim of building solid and lasting collaborations and forming complete creative teams ready to develop and produce the short film.

📚 What the Lab offers.
An intensive week of workshops, personalized mentoring and final pitches in an international training and networking environment designed to support the next generation of filmmaking.
